Background The Feather River Men’s Center is a program for those men who want freedom from life controlling addictions. The program is patterned after Teen Challenge, developed by David Wilkerson in 1958. Victory over drug or alcohol abuse can be measured by becoming drug free, productive member of society. In most cases, these men are able to reconcile with love ones, becoming a respected father, a loving and supportive husband, a dependable friend and a responsible member of society. | “Faith-based groups are perhaps better equipped than anyone to help affect the character transformation necessary to leave a life time of crime behind.” Assembly Speaker Scott Jensen August 1, 2002 press release |
